Stream with OBS

In Paraklet, open a live session and turn on Reedapt Live. Choose Reedapt Live service and copy the Stream key.

The key is yours and stays the same for every broadcast, so you only paste it into OBS once. Keep it private: anyone who has it can broadcast as you.

In OBS, open Settings → Stream. Set Service to Reedapt Live and paste your stream key.

Reedapt Live not in the list? Your copy of OBS may predate it. Choose Custom instead, and use:

If your network won't allow the encrypted server, use rtmp://ingest.reedapt.com:1935/ingest with the same key.

In Settings → Output, with Output Mode set to Advanced:

Anything above 6000 Kbps is spent without reaching your viewers, so there's no point sending more.

If you've set up a broadcast in Paraklet, the stream goes to it. If you haven't, Reedapt Live starts one for you with the title and visibility of your last broadcast. Your very first is unlisted and called “Live broadcast”, so you can check everything before anyone finds it.

If nobody has been live for a while, it can take up to three minutes before viewers see you. Keep streaming; it catches up on its own.

Press Stop Streaming. If no video arrives for three minutes, the broadcast ends and is kept as a replay. Start again after that and you get a new broadcast.
